Brian Rogers has twenty-five years of diverse experience as a business and patent attorney, process and quality engineer, investor, trainer, and program manager.  His experiences span the semiconductor, electronics, chemicals, bioscience, healthcare, academic, non-profit, and government sectors.  

Brian started his career as an engineer at Texas Instruments, Inc., immersed in process and quality improvement initiatives such as Total Quality Management, Design, and Six Sigma.  After completing his law degree and receiving his Texas law and patent licenses, he spent five years in private law practice, primarily engaged with Fortune 500 clients, before going to work full time for one of his clients, Scott & White Healthcare.  There he served as the managing attorney for research, responsible for all contracts and compliance matters, as well as the institution’s first intellectual property and technology transfer manager.  In this role he structured and negotiated hundreds of agreements, including agreements related to research and development, licensing and technology transfer, and clinical trials.  Additionally, he was primarily responsible for representing the healthcare system’s interests in multiple startup companies.

In 2011 Brian moved home to the Mid-South where he has been involved in initiatives in the academic, government, and non-profit sectors, as well as in private law practice.  He received his Arkansas law license (inactive) in 2011 and Tennessee law license in 2019.

Brian is excited to join Wooten Law Office as Of Counsel Patent Attorney and to assist Wooten Law Office’s clients in assessing patentability, preparing and prosecuting patent applications, and monitoring, defending, and enforcing patent rights.
